Speed Sensor is usually located on of gearbox and reads revolution of countershaft. 3-pole speed sensor coupler is situated 20-40 cm (8"-16") away from sensor. connector is usually accessible under fuel tank or removing a side fairing. If speedometer is driven off front wheel, sensor coupler is usually in headlight bucket.Confirmation:Separate Speed Sensor coupler (you might need to use a small flathead screwdriver to get coupler apart). Rotate wheels while ignition is on. speedometer should indicate 0. If so, turn ignition off and proceed to next step. Otherwise, if speedometer registers a speed other than 0, you have not disconnected correct coupler and need to look again.2. After separating Speed Sensor coupler, plug in both male and female 3-pole GFY harness connectors. Make sure connectors are fully seated.3. Find 2-pole natural (or black) color plug of Crankshaft positionsensor (Pickup coil). It has two wires coming from crankcase: is Gray, other is usually Black/Blue - check colors at both sides of plug (if in doubt, do a temporary connection e.g. by using a thin needle to backprobe connector pin). 2-pole connector is usually under fuel tank.for XVS1100 models only: find and use Orange (ignition coil wire).Some Model Need To Find 2-pole plug of AC magneto (Crankshaft position sensor/Pickup coil). It has two wires coming from crankcase: is Red, other is usually White4. On wire identified in previous step, peel off black sleeve (tape) near 2-pole plug, leaving about 3 cm (1.2") of wire exposed.5. Connect GFY Black/Green wire to this bike wire, using Red wire tap connector suppl
